Dutch Babies

Remember when I was all sad and rejected because my husband wouldn't eat Dutch Babies? Well, y'all are in luck because my good friend theThe Amazing Cook has posted the recipe with pictures.

While you're there, check out her hilarious post about all the stoopid questions people ask you when you're trying to get pregnant.

Like I said, this girl can cook. She's posted several recipes and they are dang good, like Maple Oat Bread, Leek Soup, Clam Chowder, and the most rich and fattening Pumpkin Cobbler. She also makes a wicked tuna salad and yummy Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches... I gotta get her to blog about those! Hint hint!

  1. I just saw a post about these awesome, ginormous scones, and now this!!!

Are y'all trying to make me gain 20 pounds?

  2. You betcha! Every morning I pray, "Lord, if you won't make me skinny, please make all my friends fat."

  3. May your uncharitable prayers not reach past the ceiling. :P

Thanks for the link to the dutch babies. I will make them next time I have too many eggs and too much time. :D

(Or if I get a craving which is likely to come much sooner.)

  4. Ha ha. I like your prayer, Lisa. No wonder you're a funny farmer. (btw, I just got that while I was driving in my car on Sat and I laughed myself silly.)

I hope you follow the recipe to the tee and you and your husband live happily ever after in dutch baby heaven. (I recommend swiss baby heaven--the lakes look like toothpaste there and the cows are way cuter than the dutch cows.)

  5. My husband is no longer invited to dutch baby heaven - I made them tonight to go along with our "leftover night" dinner, and my kids and I devoured them before he had a chance!

  6. Oh, and thanks for mentioning Clam Chowder. I don't care for the stuff, but it my mister's favorite soup and I don't think to make it often enough.
