Nothing says "I Love You" like flowers

I had taken a bunch of pictures of the blossoms on the peach and apple trees and the daffodils and early tulips in bloom, but lost those particular photos in the process of recovering Panic from its March crash (see Computer Conundrum). So all I have are a couple of pictures of the late tulips.

Bob the Cat (yes that's really his name) wouldn't move so I snapped his photo too. Silly cat.

I particularly loved these purple and white tulips. Every time I looked out my kitchen window they were there, waving as if to say, "Hey isn't this a beautiful world God has given us?" They never failed to bring a smile to my face, and reminded me that Heavenly Father loves us. Why else would He have filled this world with the amazing variety of forms and colors which we call flowers?

Now they are gone, their petals dried and scattered in the wind. But I have my pictures, and, even better... Summer flowers are on the way!

  2. In spring, when the flowers bloom and the birds sing, the sights and sounds seem to say, "Hello world! I love being here!" I am reminded of a scripture. "...all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart..." Aren't we special that we have been given such wonderful gifts including beautiful sights, lovely songs, and Bob, the cat?

  4. Jen, you are so kind. I think you're just flattering me so I'll blog more often. ;)

Jessica - Bob does not need any encouragement from you. So I'll thank you very much to worry about the behavior of your own pets. Kay?

    Luv ya!

Christine, I love that scripture and I completely agree. The earth could have been made monochromatic gray. I like to think that even though life is hard, and then you die, that the beauty around us was given as a kind of "pep talk" to give us hope when things get hard.

  5. I like pep talks if that's what they are. I like the pink kind the best.
